Ginger and Rocket!
This week, Ginger and Rocket have been hanging around together a lot. Either sleeping on the floor, eating food, sleeping on the bed, or whatever. They have been together a long time! I love them both so much!!!!
Provo Temple open house!
Jayden and I went down to Provo with my parents. We met Kristine's family there. We went to the Provo Temple's open house. There was a long line we waited in for about an hour, we watched a movie about temples, and then we got to walk through the Temple. It was really beautiful! I loved the wood, and handles. I really loved everything about it! There is such a peace in the temple--even just walking in the open house. I love the beauty of it! I am so glad that we were able to go!

Jayden and Rocket!
Jayden just loves Rocket! Rocket lets Jayden pet him and is really good with him. Jayden says that he will be sad when Rocket dies because he is nice to him. Rocket likes to sleep on Jayden's bed. Probably because it has a ton of blankets. I wanted to get as many pictures as I can of our sweet boy since we know that he is sick and we don't know how long we will have him in our home.
Rocket!
Rocket has been very sick. We took him to the vet on Tuesday, and they said he is at the beginning of the end of his life. He wasn't eating or drinking. It looked like he had had a stroke or seizures or something. His lower jaw was hanging weird. Eric and I had the conversation of when to have him euthanized. I decided that I would go buy him some food to see if I could get him to eat. We got the food that him and Ginger used to have, and some treats. Rocket started eating that food like crazy! He was very hungry. The food that he likes has protein which will effect his kidney disease. He needs a food that doesn't have protein, but he doesn't like that food, so we will let him enjoy this food. I think we have extended his life a little, but we know that the end is coming soon. We are going to enjoy every day extra that we have him in our home. He is a special blessing in our family! We love you so much Rocket Chester!!!

Skate night!
Jayden and I went to Skate night at classic skating. It was a lot of fun! Jayden rode his scooter a little bit, and he wanted to do the bounce houses, laser tag, and pirates cove. You could pay a little extra for that stuff unlimited, so I did that for him. He had fun doing those activities with his friends from school. We had a fun night!!

Cuddles!
I have had a really bad cough for a couple weeks. I haven't been able to lay down to sleep, so I have propped up a dozen pillows on the couch and that is where I have been sleeping. Diezel jumped up on the couch and slept with me. I miss cuddling with him and sleeping. He is such a sweet boy! He is a good cuddler! I love him!!!

Chaos!
We had bought a new mattress and bed frame for our room. Eric was putting it together and the old bed frame fell and hit him on the head. I was putting groceries away and I heard him moaning, a crash, and water. The frame had also broke the fish tank we had in our bedroom. I went to see what was going on and I saw Eric on the floor holding his head, glass on the carpet and lots of water spilling onto the carpet. I asked Eric if he was ok, I told Jayden to grab LOTS of towels for the linen closet, and then handed him a bucket to put water in for the one fish we had. Jayden was an amazing helper! I put towels all over the floor, found the fish barely alive in the tank and put him in a bucket, and saw blood running down Eric's face. I told Eric that we needed to go to the insta-care to have his head looked at. He probably needed stitches. I got him a towel for his head, we tried to look at the cut to see if it needed stitches. There was a lot of blood. I said we should go just to be safe. We went to the one in Roy, and it had closed for the day, so we drove to Layton. I guess another one was closed too so it was pretty busy. Eric was in a lot of pain, and couldn't stand up for very long. He kept getting sick to his stomach. We waited for a little bit, then they buzzed our thing. It was supposed to be for someone else, but somehow the wrong number got buzzed. I'm glad though. We went back, they took his vitals, and took us to the room where they fix wounds. The nurse got staples ready and we waited for the doctor. The doctor moved Eric's hair so we could see the cut (really big and gross), and numbed around the cut, then put in staples. Eric got 8 staples in his head. We went home, found Marco the fish dead, and started cleaning up glass. I did laundry because we used 11 towels and they were all soaked. We got the glass cleaned up, used our wet/dry vac on the floor to suck up some of the moisture, then put the bed frame together. We got the bed put back together, and put a fan on the carpet to help dry it out. It was lots of chaos!!

Hermit crab!
One of the hermit crabs at work (they are our class pets) shed its skin. It decided to go out of its shell for a little bit. It was a really neat experience for the children to see what a hermit crab looks like. You don't get to see if very often. This is the 2nd time I have seen one leave its shell in the 4 years we have had the crabs. I took some pictures and a little video while it walked around. It ended up going back into its shell. I wanted to be able to show Jayden and Eric what they look like outside of their shell.
