Soccer!

Jayden had another soccer game.  Four boys showed up from our team.  They played the best they had played this spring.  They were going after the ball, they were passing and being spread out.  Jayden made 3 of the goals.  We won the game, which was a boost for the boys.  It was a lot of fun to watch!  Great job Black Shadows!!!

Jessica's graduation!

Eric, Jayden and I went to Jessica's college graduation from Utah Valley University.  She graduated in psychology.  We are so excited for her to reach this milestone in her life!  We went to the luncheon after.  It was great seeing her and her family again.  They are so great!  Jayden had lots of fun running around with Kiera and Kyle.  They ran around the church, and also played soccer in the gym.  Congratulations Jessica!  We are so proud of you and we love you!!!

Jayden played in his 3rd soccer game this spring.  The weather was awful!  It was windy and rainy.  We had 4 of the 7 boys show up.  They played so hard it horrible conditions and never gave up.  I am so proud of our team today!  I am extremely proud of Jayden!  He made 3 of the 5 goals, and he played HARD!!!  He ran up and down that field and went after the ball.  He is an amazing soccer player!

Ninja warehouse!

Jayden loves going to the Ninja Warehouse on Monday nights.  He has so much fun in his class.  He always asks why he can't stay longer.  I explain that his class is once a week for an hour.  He is enjoying it so much!  He is picking up on the obstacles really fast.  I am proud of my little American ninja warrior!!

Lost tooth!

Jayden came and said "Mom, my tooth fell out."  I asked him how, and he told me that he pulled it out.  I didn't even know that it was loose.  It was his bottom right incisor.  He is missing A LOT of teeth!

Soccer!

Jayden played another soccer game.  Our team is having a hard time going after the ball.  We haven't been playing very good as a team.  Jayden is getting much better.  He is running after the ball.  Poor boy is running back and forth on the field carrying the team.  He is playing good!

Field trip!

Jayden's class went on a field trip to the library.  We walked in the pouring rain to the library and they did a story time, a music activity, and walked around the library a little.  It was fun!  We walked back to his school in the rain and ate lunch in the classroom.  My mom drove and met us at the library and then at the school.  We ate lunch by Jayden.  It was fun!  His teacher said I could take him home because they weren't planning on doing any learning after lunch, so I took him to my parents house.  I went home and changed by pants, shoes, and socks.  I took a change of clothes to Jayden at my parents, and then I went back to work.

American Ninja Warrior training!

There is a guy that has been on the American Ninja Warrior competition that they show on TV.  Jayden has really been watching it and saying that when he gets older that he wants to be on American Ninja Warrior.  We said ok.  Well, one guy that has been on it has a gym close by that people can take classes to learn the obstacles and gain the strength.  Eric and I looked into it, and took Jayden to watch a class.  He wanted to try it.  We called and signed him up for a class once a week.  He went to his first class, and really liked it.  He wished that he could go more times a week.  He did really well for not really knowing what to do.  Way to go Jayden!!!

Soccer has started for spring!

Today was Jayden's first soccer game for the spring season.  He was really excited to play.  We had five boys show up, so they played the whole game.  Jayden had a hard time breathing and he kept complaining of his legs hurting.  Our team did not play well at all.  They were afraid to go get the ball.  Jayden started playing better the second half and scored our two goals.

Zoo!

Eric, Jayden and I went to the zoo.  I think we decided to go the same day as everyone else in Utah that was having spring break.  I have never seen it so busy!  It was crazy!  We had fun anyway.  I love being able to spend time with my family!

(It was windy, so don't mind my hair!)

Drake!

Drake has been getting up at 2:00am to get a drink.  I make him go out to the bathroom at that time too so that we don't get up a couple hours later to go potty.  He got up and barked.  I woke up and walked in to watch him get a drink.  He walked to the door to go out to the bathroom.  I let him out then I went to the bathroom.  I sat by the back door to wait for him to come to the door.  It took a long time.  We have a motion light by the back door and it went off.  It doesn't take him that long, so I was starting to get worried.  I waved my hand in front of the light to have it go on again.  I sat there another minute or two then decided that it was too long and I needed to check on him.  I opened the door and started walking to the stairs on the deck and I could hear him breathing really hard and not normal.  I ran to look for him.  He was on the patio just laying on the ground, kind of flopping.  He couldn't get up.  I know something had happened like a seizure or stroke, or something.  I ran down the stairs, picked him up, and went inside.  I told Eric to come and see what was going on.  He came into the living room and by then Drake wasn't able to walk very well, kind of like he was drunk.  He then started pacing around the house and getting stuck in corners.  He wouldn't stop walking around.  We knew he needed to go to the animal E.R.  We had my mom come over to stay with Jayden while we took Drake to the animal E.R.  The vet said that she thought it was something with his brain but no way to really know without doing an MRI or cat scan.  I had a feeling it had to do with his brain because the cat we had growing up, Sugar, did similar thing before she died.  Her brain swelled and she would pace and get stuck in corners.  He was doing a similar thing.  We knew what we needed to do for Drake, but the decision was a difficult and painful one.  The vet left to let Eric and I talk about it for a little bit.  We both knew that we needed to have him euthanized.  We let the vet know, and they got him prepped for the procedure.  They gave him some valium so he would stop pacing around the room and left so we could spend some time with him.  We spent some time with him and took these pictures.  I cried a lot!  I love him so much!  I was going to miss him so much but knew that this was the best and right decision.  I had peace in my heart  with the decision.  Finally, it came time to let them know we were ready for them to give him the injection.  I wanted to hold him while they did it.  I held him in my arms while they gave him the injection.  The vet left us know when his heart had stopped.  It was so peaceful for him.  He looked like he was at peace and pain free.  We took his body home in a box that they give when your pet dies and I found a blanket to cover him with in his coffin box.  We buried him in the backyard next to Sky's spot.  They are together in heaven.  They were apart for just shy of 8 months.  I'm sure they missed each other and it was a happy reunion in heaven when they got to be reunited.  I miss him and love him so very much!!!!!
