Is it spiderman???

Jayden has discovered that he can climb our walls in the hall.  He steps on the air return vent, and the starts to shimmy up the wall.  He is amazing!!

Ginger's new toy!

Jayden got a little toy top from somewhere.  He was playing with it on the kitchen floor.  Ginger walked in and was watching it very closely.  Eventually she started swatting at it.  She liked playing with it.  It was fun to watch her!

Veteran's honor flight!

My grandpa Taylor was able to go on the Veteran's honor flight.  We welcomed him and other veteran's back.  While we waited I got lots of mosquito bites.  Jessica's grandpa also went on the flight, so we were able to see her and her dad and stepmom.  It was good seeing Jess again.  I am proud of my grandpa!

Teagan's birthday party!

Teagan had his birthday party today.  It was a Star Wars party!  Jayden had fun being with his cousins like always.  Eric loved playing with the kids and running around with them.  They played a LEGOS Star Wars bingo game.  They played with pool noodle light sabers (they got to keep one).  They dressed up at padawon's.  It was lots of fun!!!

Jayden's soccer game!

Jayden played a soccer game at 11:00am.  He did good!  I still am amazed at how fast he is.  He wasn't as aggressive at getting the ball away as the last game, and he seemed to slow down the 2nd half.  He has been suffering from allergies and we were up late last night, so those could have been factors.  He did good, and had fun!  He got a couple goals!

RSL game!

Eric, Jayden and I went to the REAL Salt Lake soccer game tonight. They played Colorado.  RSL won 5-1.   It was fun!  We just happened to be in the section that the people in front of us stood up the whole game, so it wasn't easy to watch while sitting down.  Kind of frustrating!  It was a good game!  When we first got there, Jayden smelled the air and said "it smells good!"  He saw a guy selling cotton candy, and said "that's why it smells good.  It smells like cotton candy."  He wanted one, so we got him some cotton candy.  He was excited! 

5K (virtual)!

Jayden and I did a virtual 5K.  That is where you pay for the medal and then you do the 5K on your own.  We saw this pirate medal and Jayden loved it, so I got one for Jayden, Eric and I, but wouldn't let anyone have them under they did the distance.  Jayden and I went and walked on the path at North Park (7 laps).  When we got home, I let Jayden have his medal.  He was so proud of it!  He asked if it was his own.  I told him yes, it was.  He did the 5K, so it is his--not mom's, not dad's, but Jayden's.  He was so excited!  He didn't want to take it off!

Soccer game #2!

Jayden had a soccer game today.  He did really good.  He wasn't as aggressive as the last game as far as getting the ball, but he still went after it.  He is really getting the hang of soccer.  He goes for the ball, he takes it down and scores goals, and he is really fast!  He scored some goals today and was so excited when he did.  I am proud of the soccer player he is becoming!

Playing at the park!

London and Teagan were visiting at my parents house, They went with my mom to pick up Jayden from school.  They went and played at the playground at the school for a while.  They had lots of fun!

Activity days-crochet!

For activity days, we taught the girls to crochet jewelry (bracelets).  It was hard for most of them to pick it up.  Jayden didn't really want to learn.  He tried for a little bit, but got bored or frustrated, I'm not sure.  I took crayons and paper for him to color pictures. 

Sleeping!

Eric, Jayden and I were watching the RSL soccer game on tv.  Eric and I were a little cold, so we used Jayden's blanket to cover us.  I was on the couch and Eric was on the floor, so the blanket made a little cave.  Jayden said he wanted to sleep in the cave tonight.  He got under the blanket and he did fall asleep.  He had his head covered but we uncovered it.  He is such a cute boy!!

Running through the spinklers!

Eric went outside and turned on the sprinklers, Jayden went with.  Next thing I know, Jayden has on his swim suit and asked if he could run through the sprinklers in the front yard.  I went out with him.  The water was too cold for him and the sun was behind a cloud so it was cold.  Jayden decided to give me a lesson on the water and where it comes from and where it goes.  He is a funny boy!

Jayden's first soccer game this season!

Jayden played his first soccer game this season.  He has a new team, and new shirt color--dark green.  They decided on the name, The Green Hulks.  The other choices were green dragons, and broncos.  Two wanted one name, two wanted the other name.  Eric suggested the green hulks, and they all agreed on that name!  He picked the number 5 shirt this year because he is 5 years old.  Eric is coaching his team again this year.  Jayden was excited to play this year.  He got right in and got the ball.  He scored 4 goals.  He would have had more but he didn't control the ball and it missed the goal.  It's ok though.  He is by far the fastest kid on the field.  He can be on one end of the field and run to the other end, get the ball and take it down the field.  He is FAST!!!  He really had fun!!!

Don't look!

Jayden likes to do things (make his bed, tidy his room, etc), but he will close and sometimes lock his door because he doesn't want anyone to look.  When he is finished, we (Eric and I) have to go look at the same time.  Here he had made his bed.  He is doing a "force" pose!
